Generation Settings

Generation Settings provide the following options:

Collection Window

The UIGenerateOption Collection Editor is a standard property collection editor dialog. It is used to gather Generation Options, which are elements that define how the documentation content is incrementally built using XMLSpy® or user-coded custom generators, and modified by custom generators to produce the final documentation set. The editor is activated by clicking on the button at the right end of the 'Generation Option' field (labeled with an ellipsis '...').

The left-hand pane indicates the Generation Options that will be used and the order (from top-to-bottom) that the Generation Options are executed.

• A Generation Option can be added, removed or moved.

In the right-hand properties pane, the following options can be modified:

• A Generation Option can be set either as an XMLSPY Generator, or a Custom Generator.
• For an XMLSPY Generator, specific XMLSPY Generator Settings can be adjusted to define the content of the generated documentation by XMLSpy®.

NOTE: The order of execution of the documentation generators is from the top to the bottom of the list as the options appear in the collection window for the XMLSPY Generator's, while the Custom Generator's are executed in the order of their appearance, but after all the XMLSPY Generator's have completed execution.
